Reader top bar rebuilt: only the book title and a settings entry remain; closing is now its own large button
Reading direction, single/two-page, and paged/scroll settings moved into a reading settings panel — switching no longer locks up
New books get per-format defaults: image books / PDF / EPUB each keep their own
Fixed scroll mode jumping back to the first page when tapping the top of the screen
v7.20October 26, 2026
Scroll mode redone: the page indicator follows your scrolling in real time, long scrolls no longer stall on full-screen spinners, and exiting always works
Text EPUB stability: pages that fail to render during fast drags retry automatically instead of leaving a whole chapter blank
Lower memory footprint: a leaner page cache keeps long books stable
EPUB jump-by-drag tracks your finger better; the top bar no longer goes unresponsive
v7.16October 26, 2026
Fixed EPUB text pages occasionally rendering completely black
Long EPUBs render in windows, so jumping to the middle of a book produces pages quickly
Faster EPUB opening: typesetting results are cached on disk and reopen instantly
v7.13October 26, 2026
OPDS catalog rows are fully tappable: tap an entry to download and open it
EPUB chapter rendering is scheduled serially, fixing failure placeholder pages when opening several chapters at once
v7.12October 25, 2026
Remote books now decompress with the system library: the second page of a remote two-page spread opens far faster
Newly imported books default to left-to-right page turns (books already configured are unaffected)
OPDS errors for account-protected libraries now explain the reason
v7.8October 25, 2026
New: OPDS library connections with online catalog browsing and downloads
New: library management — tags, favorites, series grouping, progress filters
New: iCloud sync for library and progress across devices (connection passwords never sync)
